CGI Worldwide, a reseller of Airborne Express Delivery services, wanted to maintain its franchise territory growth. After growing rapidly its first three years to 20 franchises, CGI Express felt the need to take their efforts to the next level in order to achieve a target of 60 franchises. To accomplish this, the owners of the company felt new creative for their advertising was needed.

The name Consortium Group International (CGI) Worldwide was hard to remember and did not communicate the company’s capabilities effectively. Plus, the company’s advertising efforts made them look like a
mom-and-pop delivery company. The One Group recommended a name change and new corporate image to better represent the dependable overnight delivery reseller.

The name Worldwide Express was obtained and a new corporate identity created. For the franchise advertising efforts the theme became “Be an Overnight Success”. To increase customer sales, the message focused on great dependable service and the promise “Ship Happens!” was both serious and fun.

Within 18 months, Worldwide Express went from one of many overnight delivery resellers to the second largest in the nation with over 60 franchisees.

In 2004, DHL purchased AirborneExpress and The One Group was asked to rebrand Worldwide Express to reflect this new exciting partnership – Worldwide Express is now the nations largest overnight night delivery service reseller.
